Youth Employment Solutions 1

In partnership with the Department of Services for the Blind (DSB), the Washington State School for the Blind (WSSB) is hosting Youth Employment Solutions (YES) 1 this summer at the WSSB campus. 

YES 1 is an 11-day summer program focused on work readiness, independent  living skills, social skills, and self-advocacy for students ages 14-16. 

YES 1 will be held from Sunday July 7, 2024 through Thursday, July 18, 2024. Participants must be blind, low vision, or deaf blind; have basic orientation and mobility skills; able to handle basic self-care needs; and a VR client with the Department of Services for the Blind. 

Apply online before Monday, February 19, 2024. 

Please note:  The application includes a section the student should fill out directly at the end. Once submitted, there will be additional forms to complete.
