Vision to Victory Camp

DSB is pleased to announce the 2024 Vision to Victory Vision Camp, presented by Amerability. 

Students from across the state are invited to attend this multi-day experience filled with workshops, recreation, sport, and time with other youth. 

This residential program is designed for students from across the state to connect with each other while also presenting new opportunities in recreation, sports, and wellness activities. 
Students will also enhance their work readiness and job exploration skills through daily activities and workshops. Students will engage with each other and in the community every day to further develop communication and advocacy skills.

  • Hotel Check-In. Students must arrive by 4:00 p.m. on Sunday for check-in and will depart on Thursday at 12:30 p.m.

About Amerability

Amerability enables innovation within the Vocational Rehabilitation sector across the US for people with disabilities through innovative workshops, courses, and industry experiences. Amerability CEO Murray Elbourn is a former Paralympian and businessman who has found vast success in life as someone who is blind. The foundations of his success are now the Six Pillars of the Amerability Foundation and the basis of their programs and workshops.

 

Cost

Free! This workshop is free and open to students who are currently participating in VR Services with DSB. VR Services cover travel, lodging, food, and participation in this workshop.

 

Who

This workshop is ideal for students with disabilities who are Blind, Low-Vision or Deafblind, between the ages of 14 and 21 years old, currently participating in VR Services.
