Youth workshops & programs

With the right skills and support, children and young people with visual disabilities can achieve future success. Learn how our youth workshops and programs can help you get there.

Who we help

Our activities, workshops and programs are open to children and young people ages 21 and under with vision loss

How we can help

We offer age-appropriate day activities, short-term workshops, and residential programs for young people, as well as programing to support the entire family.

Day activities and short-term workshops

We offer in-person and online short-term workshops throughout the year for youth of all ages. They usually happen after school, in the evenings, or on weekends. Workshops teach youth to become independent and speak up for their needs as they move through their school years and begin to explore different careers and education opportunities.

Residential programs

Our residential programs for teens and young adults last longer than our workshops, from a few days to several weeks. They provide hands-on experience to prepare for the future and see what real-world careers are like. Additionally, several of our programs offer paid and unpaid work experience that can improve your chances of getting the job you want.

Suggestions for future workshops

We welcome ideas for workshops from parents, educators, and students. Our team is always looking for new ways to help young people with vision loss achieve their goals.
