Steven’s Amendment Information for Federal Fiscal Year 2024
In accordance with Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, Public Law 101-166, Section 511, "Steven's Amendment", when issuing statements, press releases, requests for proposals, bid solicitations and other documents describing projects or programs funded in whole or in part with Federal money, all grantees receiving Federal funds, including but not limited to State and local governments, shall clearly state: the percentage of the total costs of the program or project which will be financed with Federal money; the dollar amount of Federal funds for the project or program; and the percentage and dollar amount of the total costs of the project or program that will be financed by nongovernmental sources.
Vocational Rehabilitation
The Vocational Rehabilitation program receives 78.7 percent of its funding through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. For the Federal Fiscal Year 2024, the total amount of federal grant funds awarded is $12,437,636. The remaining 21.3 percent of the costs ($3,366,222) is funded by State appropriations or another non-Federal allowable source.
Business Enterprise Program
The Business Enterprise Program services provided under the Vocational Rehabilitation program, are funded 78.7 percent through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. For the Federal fiscal year 2024, the total amount of federal grant funds awarded is $12,437,636. The remaining 21.3 percent of the costs ($3,366,222) was funded by State appropriations or another non-Federal allowable source.
Pre-Employment Transition Services
The Pre-Employment Transition Services provided under the Vocational Rehabilitation program is funded 100 percent through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. For Federal fiscal year 2024, the total amount of grant funds for this service is $1,865,645.
Older Blind Services
The Older Blind Services program is funded 90 percent through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. For the Federal fiscal year 2024, the total amount of federal grant funds awarded was $675,826. The remaining 10 percent of the costs ($75,092) was funded by State appropriations or another non-Federal allowable source.
