DSB Explorers: Children under age 13
Introducing DSB Explorers!
The DSB Explorers is a new program providing experiences and activities for children under age 13 who are low vision, blind, or deaf-blind and their families.
This program is family-centered and encourages the whole family to play and learn together. We are focused on providing activities for children who are low vision or blind and building foundational skills in self-awareness, safety, confidence, and social engagement.
Program activities include:
- Providing social activities and enrichment for DSB Explorers and their families.
- Fostering independence and confidence through activities and play.
- Providing connection and support for children and families.
- Giving parents of infants and toddlers support in getting them moving and exploring their environment.
- Providing counseling and resources to families.
- Building social support for parents
- Creating experiences and workshops for families and children.
