Student Center Etiquette

Guide to maintaining a comfortable environment at the OTC.
  • Greet others when entering and say goodbye when leaving the room.
  • Limit offers of assistance unless requested.
  • Keep canes off tables and push in chairs. 
  • Limit the use of strong scents or perfumes. 
  • Keep conversations quiet during instructional hours.
  • Use headphones for JAWS, VoiceOver, or other audio on phones/computers.
  • Keep phones silent and take long calls in designated rooms. 
  • Label your items in the refrigerator. Do not take food or drinks that are not yours.
  • Maintain cleanliness: wash dishes, wipe surfaces and appliances.
