Reduced Transit Fares

Many Transit agencies provide reduced fares for individuals with disabilities. Contact your local transit agency to apply for reduced fares. If you don’t see your local transit authority on this list, please contact them directly.


Puget Sound Regional Reduced Fare Permit

The Regional Reduced Fare Permit simplifies travel for senior and disabled riders of public transportation around Puget Sound. The following public transportation systems in the Puget Sound region recognize this identification card:

With the Regional Reduced Fare Permit, eligible persons do not need to carry more than one permit to receive the reduced-fare benefits of multiple systems within the region. 

Any eligible person may apply for a Regional Reduced Fare Permit at the customer service offices of any of the participating transit agencies. King County Water Taxi, Pierce County Ferries, Sound Transit and Washington State Ferries do not issue the permits but will honor those issued by any of the other systems.

Asotin County / Lewiston Transit

(Asotin County PTBA) The Lewiston Transit and Asotin County PTBA offer reduced fares for seniors and people with disabilities, and Medicare cardholders in conformance with the Federal Transit Administration’s half-fare requirements. For those individuals who qualify, half fare is offered during all hours of operation on the fixed route services and when paying cash fares.

Ellensburg Central Transit 

There is no cost to ride the Central Transit fixed route buses! 

Garfield County Transportation Authority 

GCTA does not require fares to ride with us. 

Grant Transit Authority 

VIP Fares and Passes for seniors (60 & older) & disabled passengers. 

Island Transit 

The mission of Island Transit is to provide safe, accessible, convenient, and friendly public transportation services that enhance our Island quality of life. Island Transit has been fare-free since the beginning! 

Link Transit 

(Chelan-Douglas PTBA) Persons aged 65 and over, persons of disability and Medicare card holders, can ride Link Transit fixed route buses for up to one half of regular fare.

Okanogan Transit
