DSB partners with qualified service providers in order to most effectively serve our valued customers. DSB continuously seeks skilled contractors to support our staff in providing the following services:

  • Assistive Technology (AT) Training
  • Behavioral Health Counseling Services
  • Birth Through Thirteen Support Services
  • Braille Instruction
  • Certified Benefit Planning
  • Community Rehabilitation Program Services (CRP) to include Community-Based Assessments, Job Placement and Retention.
  • Job Readiness Training
  • Orientation and Mobility (O&M)
  • Pre-Employment Transition Services
  • Rehabilitation Teaching
  • Self-Employment Development Services and Training
  • Vocational Evaluation Services
  • Work-Related System Access Services

 

Becoming a DSB Contractor

DSB established a qualification process for service providers based on standards established by the Washington State Human Resources job classification specifications, national certification boards, and industries that are applicable.

When a service provider is employed in an occupation for which national, state, or industry standards have not been established, DSB may adopt standards as appropriate to ensure quality services.

In addition, all providers who have unsupervised access to DSB customers must go through a national, fingerprint-based background check and receive clearance to become qualified.

Potential contractors are required to complete a Contractor Application and meet the requirements as listed in the DSB Contractor Information Packet. Subcontractors may not be utilized in providing the vocational rehabilitation services listed above. Contracted services will be purchased on an as-needed basis.
