Highlights of the MVP Workshops include:
- Interactive activities to establish short, medium, and long-term goals and develop a plan of action for success with professional mentors.
- Activities that identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to your action plan.
- Explore your plans with 1-on-1 conversations with Amerability mentors.
In developing the Most Valuable Plan for you, we will explore your own vision for the following vital areas in your life and set goals to maximize your best self.
- Relationships with friends, family, and others.
- Health and Well-being.
- Community Interests and Independence.
- Self-Advocacy and Accessibility.
- Financial Planning.
- Careers, Education and Training
Speaker Information
Murray Elbourn is a former Paralympian and former CEO of several successful high-level organizations spanning two continents and has found vast success in life as someone who is Blind. The foundations of his success are found in determining what actions you must take and setting goals to get where you want.
Who
This workshop is for students, ages 14 to 21, who are Blind, Low-Vision or Deafblind, who are active participants of DSB services.
Cost
There is no cost for participants of DSB VR Services and for participants of our Pre-ETS program.
