Join us for an empowering six-day event, including mini workshops at the Microsoft Campus in Redmond, where technology meets opportunity.
This Vision to Victory XL workshop is designed for students with blindness and low vision who are ready to explore careers in technology, AI, and Coding.
Through hands-on sessions with Microsoft Al tools, Copilot, Chat GPT, advanced prompting techniques and accessibility innovations, participants will gain valuable job readiness skills, build confidence, and connect directly with industry professionals.
Each day strengthens independence, self-advocacy, and your ability to thrive in the modern workforce.
Workshop highlights
- Tour of Microsoft Campus & Xbox Accessible Gaming Center.
- Meet with Copilot Accessible Team and learn about accessibility decision making.
- Learn how to prompt like the professionals in Chat GPT.
- Learn how AI can help determine which career options best fit your interests.
- Create an actual work project in teams then present your AI project to the group.
- Build your professional resume, learn how to job search for industries and positions you want, write a specific cover letter for that position, and go through a mock interview.
About the instructors
Amerability is an experienced contractor to students across Washington through DSB. Staff possess lived experience with a strong understanding of what it means to be Blind and Low Vision. Our Entertainment Industry professionals encourage students to achieve their goals through study, employment and entrepreneurship, and by supporting goals to actions while offering mentoring and coaching.
