Dog Guide Information
Dog guides are highly trained animals that provide people who are blind or visually impaired with enhanced mobility, companionship, the opportunity to conquer barriers, and increased independence.
There are numerous non-profit organizations dedicated to breeding, training, and matching dog guides with people who are blind, visually impaired or have other disabilities. The majority of these organizations provide custom trained service animals at no cost to the client.
