The department will implement an information and referral system, using appropriate modes of communication, adequate to ensure that an individual with disabilities is provided with information and referral services that may assist the individual in securing services and benefits that he or she might qualify for and/or benefit from.
(1) Information and referral services are available to any individual who is an applicant for agency services; is potentially eligible, eligible, or ineligible for services; and/or is an active participant of agency services. This also includes any individual who is awaiting services if the department is operating under an order of selection, in accordance with WAC67-25-193.
(2) The department will refer an individual with disabilities to other appropriate federal, state and/or community programs, including the client assistance program (CAP) and other components of the statewide workforce development system.
