Have you ever thought about where your breakfast eggs come from?
Join us on a visit to a small chicken farm to learn about what it takes to provide the community with fresh eggs as a farmer. We will discuss both large and small scale chicken farming.
Participants will follow the eggs from the chicken to the table. They explore a chicken yard, collect eggs and take them to processing. The group will also learn how eggs are cleaned and processed for sale. The workshop will then talk about the different methods cook eggs and prepare egg based meals for lunch.
