Learn about automotive design, history, and careers at America’s Car Museum.
Automotive associated industries continue to provide a wide variety of career opportunities. This event will give students a look back at the history of automobiles and an overview of the future of the industry.
Students will experience a tactile tour of the museum’s galleries and the Family Zone where they will have to opportunity to touch vehicles and focus on the stylistic and engineering changes over time. They will also learn about vehicle sounds from engines to horns through history and have a tactile exploration of car chassis to learn about the mechanics of an automobile.
After lunch and a discussion of the career opportunities available in this broad industry, students will get a sense of what car designers do through tactile, 3-D experiences.
