Are you ready to unleash the “leader within” into your everyday life through the Paralympic sport of Goalball?
DSB’s Goalball Leadership Summit brings youth to the Washington State School for the Blind (WSSB) campus in October for a three-day residential program which teaches the core foundations of leadership, advocacy, and teamwork through the sport of Goalball! By participating in sports clinics, scrimmages, and mentoring activities with coaches and leaders from the sport, students will learn leadership skills they can take with them on and off the court.
The program will start Friday evening with team building activities, continue Saturday with scrimmages and group activities, and end with a goalball tournament on Sunday.
Students do not need previous goal ball experience to attend.
Students can be dropped off anytime between 1:00 -5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 13. The Summit will end with student pick up on Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. WSSB residential students will be dismissed to the staffed residential dorms when the tournament has concluded.
