Event description

The Youth Employment Solutions 1 (YES 1) program is an 11-day residential summer program focused on work readiness, independent living skills, social skills, and self-advocacy for students ages 14-16.

YES 1 will be held at the Washington State School for the Blind from Sunday, July 12, 2026, through Thursday, July 23, 2026.

Participants must be Blind, Low Vision, or Deaf-Blind; have basic orientation and mobility skills; able to handle basic self-care needs; and a Pre-ETS and VR customer with the Washington State Department of Services for the Blind or the Oregon Commission for the Blind.
